My car’s battery has died three times since I got it on December 22, 2024. Every time I take it to the dealer, they blame me for leaving something on, even though I didn’t. The last time, they said I left the accessories on, but I don’t even use that feature. The manual says it shuts off after an hour. It feels like there’s an electrical issue, but they can’t duplicate it, so they say it’s my fault. Anyone else had this happen?

It is weird they couldn't duplicate the issue. I would say the drain happens from time to time, I don't know, probably triggered by a device, sensor (faulty one maybe), or even a software glitch. Cuz why not? We talk about Kona. I didn't have any related issues, but this is what comes to my mind at the moment. I would insist on another checking.

I find it funny that incompetent dealers always put the blame on you without properly diagnosing the issue. And then when you get a second opinion, you learn something else.

This issue means a trip back to the factory; dealerships can't touch it. They need special equipment, only the manufacturer has it, to figure out what's draining the battery. Then they have to come up with a fix, maybe a software update or new hardware. They might not even be able to completely fix it, sadly.
