Kona mystery vent on dashboard

I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure this out! I noticed this tiny vent on my dashboard and thought it might be the car's microphone, so I tried covering it up to prevent my conversations from being recorded. Turns out, it didn't do a thing!

Anyone know what this mysterious vent is actually for?

If that was a joke, it was a good one! It is the sensor temperature. I guess it is enough for you to understand its purpose.

Yeah, it's just a temp sensor for the climate control. Totally nothing to stress about!

That little vent is likely a temperature sensor for climate control. It helps regulate cabin temperature, not record audio, no need to worry!
