In ideal conditions, the 2024 Kona EV should reach close to 100 kW, but I’ve noticed that actual speeds can vary based on factors like state of charge and battery temp. Usually, you get higher speeds when the battery is around 10-80%, but if it’s still not hitting those numbers, I’d double-check with Hyundai. It might just be a quirk in the system, but it’s worth a look if you’re consistently maxing out at 45 kW. Maybe try checking the power draw through other means or an app?I've noticed that my 2024 Kona EV never charges above 45kW, even with high-powered DC fast chargers. The manual says 100kW—am I doing something wrong, or is it just 50kW?
Thanks for the tip... I’ll check the EV settings menu to see if there’s a limit set for charging speed.I noticed in the vast menu available that there are settings to limit one's charge limits in terms of how far one charges as well as the rate at one charges. You may wish to check that selection out. I forget which of the many areas it's located in in the menu, but it is likely under the EV settings.
