My 2024 Kona N Line Experience

I brought home a 2024 Kona N Line, and yes, I test-drove it first. Yes, I know every new car takes some getting used to. But I hate it. The turbo and power are great, but the so-called "suede" seats feel like sitting on Velcro. The backup camera is clear, but why on earth did they skip object detection? I didn’t even realize it was missing until I backed into my garage, where I really need it. The dealer never mentioned it, and now I’m stuck. I loved my 2022 Santa Fe, but I traded it in over a CVT noise no one could diagnose. This might be my last car, and I really wanted to love it, but Hyundai let me down.
 
Hey! Different trims come with different features depending on the region. When you say object detection are we talking about backup sensors or something fancier? Most sensors can spot objects but that’s not quite the same as rear cross-traffic detection. Plus, your backup camera is there to give you the full picture literally🤷‍♂️
 
Yeah, I meant the backup sensors, my Santa Fe had them, so I assumed the Kona would too. Totally my fault for not checking, but it still feels like a frustrating downgrade.
 
The turbo power is great, but the uncomfortable seats and lack of object detection are significant issues especially coming from a Santa Fe you enjoyed. It's understandable to feel frustrated with the dealer for not mentioning these missing features. If you're genuinely unhappy with the car consider exploring your options like trading it in or selling it privately even if it means taking a financial loss. Youdeserve to drive a car you love so don't give up on finding the right one even if this Hyundai didn't work out.

Yeah, I might have to consider trading it, even if it stings financially. Just frustrating because I really wanted to love it. Hyundai made some odd choices with this model.
