Trying to swap out my number plate globes on my Kona N-Line Premium, but this cover won’t budge. I’m legit scared of snapping something. Anyone know the trick to getting these off without a fight? Really don’t wanna break anything. Any tips would be a huge help. Cheers!

To change the bulb, start by using a plastic trim tool to pop off the clear plastic lens cover. Then, carefully use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry the lens cover away from the light housing. Twist the socket counterclockwise to take it out. Push down on the connector clip and pull the connector to detach it from the socket. Finally, put in the new bulb and put everything back together in the opposite order.

I know exactly what you mean about being scared to snap something coz plastic trim is so fragile. Usually, there are little clips or tabs holding them in, and they can be tricky to find. Try gently prying around the edges with a thin plastic tool (like a trim removal tool, or even a credit card if you're careful). Sometimes they slide in a certain direction too, so try wiggling it a bit while you're prying. Don't force it! If it's really stuck, maybe check your owner's manual as sometimes they have diagrams. And if all else fails, a quick search on YouTube might turn up a video of someone doing it on a Kona or similar Hyundai. Good luck, and let us know if you crack the code!

I already swapped it out, and it was a breeze with the plastic trim tools. Tried using a screwdriver at first, but that was definitely not the move.
