I recently got a 2024 Kona Limited, and I’m loving the tech it offers. I’m surprised that I can’t find any way to monitor the battery power usage or engine temperature directly. Is there a way?

For a car with such advanced electronics, it seems odd that this info isn’t readily available, or maybe I’m just missing something. Does anyone know if there’s a way to see this data? Maybe through the infotainment system or an app? I’d appreciate any tips or workarounds. Or do I have to get a 3rd party sensor for this?

I don't know if there are any "on-board" monitoring tools that would do the job. I guess the only option you have is plugging a scanner into the car.

It seems Hyundai didn't give the Kona Limited a comprehensive monitoring system. But you can use an OBD-II scanner, like @HyundaiDriver2024 said to see stuff like engine temp and battery usage.

You can totally keep an eye on your Kona's battery health using the Bluelink app. You can see your charge level, charging status, and even how hot or cold your battery is. This is super handy, especially for those of us with the electric Kona. All the info you need is right there.

I use Bluelink. Have you tried it yet? Very handy.

Congrats on the Kona! It’s weird they hide the battery and engine temp, maybe they’re keeping it a secret for now. Check the manual or ask the dealer, but if not, third-party sensors could be your ‘sneaky’ solution
