I had a mild accident with my 2023 Hyundai Kona. it has now been in the shop for 10 weeks waiting for some side moldings. The problem is the local Hyundai dealer Fucillo in Watertown NY doesn't seem to want to get parts. When I wanted to buy a car they said watertown isn't an electric car town. Told me to go to Syracuse. i went to Webster instead as I have family there that regularly use the local dealer. They were very helpful and I love the car I bought from them.
The watertown Hyundai dealer even refused to do the 5000 mile check ups on my car. They could never find time in their schedule to fit me in. So I had all my service work done in Webster.
Is it usual for a Hyundai dealer to take this long to provide parts for a one year old car??? i think I am getting the run around because the dealer is anti electric cars. The body shop is so discouraged they say they will never work on another electric Hyundai.

You might want to consider escalating the issue to Hyundai's corporate customer service. They may be able to intervene and expedite the process.

It definitely pays to go up to corporate. I contacted them about the issue. They requested the part numbers in question last Friday. Long and short of it. The local dealer who couldn't get the parts for 8 weeks suddenly had them on Tuesday. I get my car back Friday after 10 weeks in the shop for a minor collision.
