Alright, yall, I gotta vent about my new 24 Kona Electric. Charging losses? Oh, they’re ruthless. I’m talking around 24% on AC and 12% on DC - way worse than the chill 10% my old ride used to sip.

Anyone else dealing with these charging issues on their Kona? Is this just my car being weird; or is it a common thing?

Thanks for sharing your experience. Although the losses are disheartening, they still fall within the typical range for NMC batteries.

Try to test the inbuilt charger's efficiency and tell us about your findings, please.

Have you also thought about how charging efficiency is affected by variables like battery temperature and ambient temperature? Try to observe the variables.

Those losses do seem high! I’ve seen others mention similar issues with the new Kona Electric, so it might not just be your car. Have you also checked the charging equipment or settings for inefficiencies?
